According to the latest data from Eurispes, the Italian Research Institute, approximately 7.8 million of our fellow citizens use herbs for healing or to enhance/maintain their physical and mental well-being. Given these significant numbers, it is necessary and desirable to promote a culture and scientifically accurate information on the appropriateness of medicinal or officinal herbs, so that they can be used consciously, especially those that, due to their ease of cultivation, can be grown even in a garden or on the balcony of one’s home.
With this goal in mind, that of providing (in)formation, the idea of creating a dedicated app was born.
In fact, digital tools are currently the preferred means for Italians, representing a source of comparison and consultation at hand, but they also present the risk of falling “into the trap” of misinformation or fake news if the content is not scientifically accredited.
The objective and risk that this educational and digital editorial project aims to address, with respect for users and the subject matter.
