In cases of recurrent infections or refractory to treatment, longer courses of treatment should be administered.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Symptoms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Symptoms of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educareyou.com\/video\/la-vaginite-da-candida\/\">vaginal candidiasis<\/a> may occur more or less intensely<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Itching and irritation of vagina and vulva.<\/li>\n<li>Discomfort and burning during sexual intercourse, or when urinating.<\/li>\n<li>Redness and swelling of the vulva.<\/li>\n<li>Vaginal pain and soreness.<\/li>\n<li>vaginal eruption.<\/li>\n<li>Thick, white, odorless vaginal discharge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>A complicated yeast infection can occur in the following cases<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>If you complain of severe signs and symptoms, such as extensive redness, swelling, and itching, sometimes with irritation or sores.<\/li>\n<li>If the infection is recurrent, such as 3-4 times in a year.<\/li>\n<li>If you are pregnant.<\/li>\n<li>If you have diabetes, uncontrolled.<\/li>\n<li>If you have an immunodeficiency condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Symptoms<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The symptomatology of infection can range from mild to moderate if elements such as<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Itching and irritation in the vagina and vulva.<\/li>\n<li>A burning sensation, especially during intercourse.<\/li>\n<li>Redness and swelling of the vulva.<\/li>\n<li>Vaginal pain and soreness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Diagnosis<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Formulating the diagnosis of a yeast infection for the physician goes through a few steps<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collection of information and data on the patient&#8217;s medical history, past vaginal infections or sexually transmitted infections.<\/li>\n<li>Performance of a pelvic examination, an objective examination of the external genitalia to observe any signs of infection.<\/li>\n<li>Intravaginal and cervix investigation, observation of the uterus.<\/li>\n<li>Test vaginal secretions by taking a sample of vaginal fluid for the type of fungus responsible for the infection in order to be able to identify the most effective treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Treatment<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Treatment for yeast infections depends on the severity and frequency of infections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One-week administration of antifungal drugs;
