Nel 1979, ottiene la laurea in Medicina e Chirurgia e l'abilitazione a Genova, le specializzazione in Dermatologia E Venereologia a Torino il 18/06/1985 e in Leprologia e Dermatologia tropicale a Genova il 13/07/1992
