Sinusitis is an inflammation of the mucosa lining the sinuses. In fact, it is estimated that it may affect 8.4 percent of the population in Italy, 9 percent in Europe and 13 percent in the United States. Unfortunately, however, it often happens that it is underestimated and not properly treated, thus increasing the risk of relapse and thus becoming a chronic problem.
