Itching is first and foremost a physical disorder, but it is also a symptom.
It can be the alarm bell that warns of an organic disease, such as:
- a skin cancer;
- A blood cancer( Hodgkin‘s lymphoma );
- A tumor of the kidney(renal failure);
- A cancer of the liver(Hepatitis C).
In skin cancers, it sometimes happens that itching seems to arise from a single spot on the skin , and that this is the only more or less intense and recurrent sign of the disease.
