Mi sono specializzata in cardiologia presso l'ospedale Ferrarotto di Catania, pur seguendo parte della specializzazione all'Ospedale Niguarda di Milano, dove ho perfezionato la mia pratica di ecografia cardiaca con ColorDoppler. Successivamente ho proseguito con un percorso di ricerca universitaria conseguendo il titolo di Dottore di ricerca nel 2003, perfezionando la mia pratica clinica ed ecocardiografica presso l'ospedale Careggi di Firenze.
