Gonarthrosis (or knee osteoarthritis) is a chronic degenerative disease characterized by the destruction and potential loss of articular cartilage in the knee. Over time, this process causes progressive damage to the joint and significant limitation of movement.

Gonarthrosis is a typical condition of advanced age (over 60 years old), but it can also occur in younger individuals (40-50 years old).
