Bronchial asthma in children

bambini-aerosol

Asthma bronchial is due to mucosal edema and stagnation of sputum. To evaluate the severity of asthma it is necessary to reconstruct the patient’s life through previous hospitalizations, feeding and introduction of fluids, therapy performed and intolerance to specific drugs. It is necessary in the most severe asthmas subjecting the child to oxygen-fed aerosol and subjecting the child to a series of laboratory tests such as chest X-ray, saturation of oxygen with pulse oximeter in the presence of severe asthma, hemogasanalysis in presence of very severe broncho-construction.

Regarding clinical monitoring, it is necessary to check the respiratory rate and heart rate every 4-6 hours and in severe cases recheck the score.
