Bulimia is one of the nutrition and eating disorders. It is characterized by excessive food intake, so-called binge eating, followed by episodes aimed at getting rid of the amount of food ingested, by methods such as self-induced vomiting or the use of laxatives. This condition is difficult to recognize as affected people often present with a normal body weight.
