Cognitive-emotional fitness addresses the need to foster the growth of cognitive and emotional processes, the basis of mature personality. If a functional lifestyle is not acquired, no exercise and no learning process will be functional.
Cognitive-emotional fitness is proposed as a continuous learning process, so attending a refresher course or a lecture in a coursework series is not enough. It is impossible to be certain of having acquired emotional and cognitive skills fully and sustainably. Cognitive-emotional fitness is motivation, propensity and commitment. Moreover, any distinction of the functions of the mind is artificial, since it is intrinsically connected to each of its functions.
