A recent article published in the journal The Lancet, titled “Nutritional Psychiatric: where to next?” hypothesizes a direct relationship between nutrition and depression in the individual. In fact, according to some studies there is a direct relationship between a healthy diet and a person’s mental and physical well-being. In particular, it has been shown that a proper and balanced diet can significantly reduce the risk of experiencing depression problems.
On the contrary, it seemed glaringly obvious that the so-called
Junk Foods
(junk food) are harmful not only to the physical health of the body, but also have negative effects on the mental and psychological condition of the individual.
In the next articles we will deal more specifically with this issue, analyzing two aspects of this scenario: healthy eating against depression and the use of dietary supplements to combat the individual’s psychiatric disorders.
