Diving, the basic rules

immersioni

The human body has evolved over hundreds of thousands of years by developing experience and capabilities on land, where it has been able to excel over other living things. However, it has developed a remarkable mastery in water by moving easily on rivers, lakes, waterfalls and finally on the sea, gaining the aquaticity necessary to carry out its activities.

The human body, while moving through water, swimming or diving, knows that it poses a constant danger since it cannot survive under this element except with reserves of air.

There are many diving activities, both sports and for exploration or enjoyment, but they are based on two types of water diving: the more natural and ancient type of free diving, and the more technical and modern type ofdiving with oxygen reserve (tanks).

It goes without saying that those who decide to practice either diving technique can do so after adequate preparation and training, following the authorized routes of the National Federations and Technical and Sports Societies, but there are a few basic rules to be constantly kept in mind, not only for those who dive, but also for their family members, friends and those who are present at the dive sites (lakes, rivers, sea) such as tourist operators, local workers, etc.

– The health condition of those who dive should be of full form, not subsequent to discomfort, indigestion, sleepless nights, or other ailments, respiratory or circulatory disorders.
– Thepsychophysical balance and self-mastery of those who go underwater should not appear to be altered or compromised by negative experiences , such as anxiety or panic attacks.
– Pre-dive feeding should be very light and based on easy-to-digest foods.
Weather conditions should be optimal as per the bulletin.
– Dives should be organized by preparing and arranging the necessary equipment in case of an emergency.
– Dives must include the presence of at least one buddy to monitor and be checked on descents and behavior in the water. Incidents such as fainting in water can only be resolved by a fellow rescuer. Never dive alone.
– Follow the rules of the two respective types of diving to prevent accidents such as prolonged apnea syndrome (in apnoea diving) or gas embolism (in scuba diving).
