Tendonitis is defined as inflammation of a tendon. It can occur in any tendon, but is most common in the shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, and heels.
Some common names for various tendon problems are: tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, swimmer’s shoulder, jumper’s knee and refer to activities that often produce stress and inflammation to certain tendons.
